3 Days Torean to Senaru trekking program is one of the most specatular trail. Combining views of dense tropical rainforest with dramatic river valleys and waterfalls.
You can choose to start from Senaru or Torean. The most popular option for 2026 is to start from Senaru to get a more regular incline and end the journey with a view of the valley in Torean.
The 3-day Torean to Senaru Rinjani trek is to experience the mountain’s diverse natural beauty—focusing on the scenic river valley, lush rainforest, waterfalls, and Segara Anak Lake with its hot springs—without the demanding climb to the summit.
Key goals for trekkers on Torean to Senaru trekking route:
- Experiencing diverse landscapes: The trek offers a journey through dramatically different environments, from the dense, tropical rainforests and river valleys of the Torean route to the open views at the Senaru Crater Rim.
- Visiting Segara Anak Lake: Trekkers spend time at the turquoise volcanic lake in the caldera, which is a major highlight.
Relaxing in natural hot springs: Near the lake, hikers can soak in the natural hot springs (Air Panas Aik Kalak) to soothe muscles and recover, a key point of the itinerary.

- Witnessing stunning views: A primary goal is reaching the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m) to witness panoramic views of the lake, the active “baby volcano” (Mount Barujari), and enjoy memorable sunsets and sunrises.

- Enjoying unique natural features: The route is renowned for its specific natural attractions, including frequent river crossings, dramatic canyon walls, and the beautiful Penimbungan Waterfall.

- Avoiding the summit climb: This particular itinerary (Torean to Senaru in 3 days) is designed for those who want a scenic and immersive Rinjani experience without the physical extremity of the steep, challenging summit push.
- Achieving a sense of adventure: The Torean route is considered less crowded and more “adventurous” than other trails, appealing to nature lovers and photographers seeking a wilder, more remote feel.
