Starting and ending at Senaru Village in North Lombok, the Senaru Crater Rim Program 2-days 1-night will take you to the heart of Mount Rinjani National Park. Available 3 days trekking to Summit Rinjani as well.

Trekking to Senaru Crater Rim allows travelers to experience the dramatic landscapes and beautiful scenery of Gunung Rinjani National Park in a short 2-day / 1-night time frame.

You will hike through the dense virgin rainforest that blankets the lower slopes of Mount Rinjani. Breaking the tree line in the afternoon, you’ll follow a grassy ridge all the way to the Senaru Crater Rim.

On a clear day, you can see three of the popular Gili Islands to the West ( Gili Trawangan, Meno, and Air ), scattered across the shimmering waters of the Lombok Strait. Behind these three small islands, Bali’s Mount Agung sits high above the horizon..

Senaru Crater Rim Trekking Overview:

What you should know:

This trekking program is not suitable for beginner trekkers
Requires a good level of fitness and strong walks
People with mountain sickness or height phobia are not allowed to join this tour
Tours can leave any day except weather conditions are not permitted

Trekking itinerary:

Day 01. Walk duration 5-6 hours with a 9,2km distance from the start point to crater Rim Senaru.

Breakfast at our campsite ( Green Rinjani )
Registration at the RTC ( Rinjani Trekking Centre Senaru 601m )
Prepare for trekking at 07.30 – 08.00 AM
Walking in the open views for 30 minutes with green plants of coffee trees, Bamboo, etc
Pass walk 30 minutes more to the gate of the tropical rain forest, a 15-minute short break
Continue walking through the jungle where we will be shadowed by the sun for 3 hours to POS 2 ( MONTONG SATAS 1.500m ), See black Monkeys and big trees on the trail.
Break at POS 2, prepare fresh fruits and soft drinks by our Guide and porter
Continue to POS 3 ( MONDOKAN LOLAK 2.000m ) pass tropical forest, local strawberry ( June, July, August ), 3 hours walk, lunch will be prepared at POS 3.
After 1 hour 30 minutes take a rest, continue to crater Rim of Senaru ( 2.641m ) one hour walk
Camping and overnight at crater RIM Senaru, enjoy an amazing sunset over 3 Gili’s and Mount Agung Bali

Day 02: Walk duration 5 hours from Crater Rim Senaru to Senaru village

Breakfast and enjoy the sunrise and the beautiful scenery of Segara Anak Lake
Walk down to Senaru village for 4-5 hours
Will arrive Senaru village at approx 13.00 PM
End the service by driving you to your next hotel in Senggigi or Mataram.

i loved everything about my surf week in lombok! the instructors were super friendly and cheerful, making you feel immediately at home, and they were helpful and patient in teaching the basics and in correcting the mistakes, always with a smile. everything went smoothly, from the arrival to the hotel to the daily transfers to the beach. i surfed only 6 days and i fell in love with it, and i’m sure it’s in great part thanks to them. i can’t wait to be back, and i miss everything about it already.

Dit is een hele fijne surfschool voor alle niveaus. Hele leuke instructeurs die goed weten wat ze doen. Senggigi is de mooiste plek waar ik heb gesurfd. Ik kreeg ook nog beeldmateriaal van de video analyse toegestuurd. Ik kom graag nog eens terug!

I did 4 days of surfing with them mainly at Klui beach. I’ve done some surfing but still am very much a beginner. I have taken quite a few surfing lessons in many places mostly in the US and LATAM. A bit in Bali. This school is up there with my top favorites. Wayan and his team (Bagoes the camera and Bayu another instructor) are knowledgeable, seasoned instructors that will give you valuable feedback and tips. They’re also very nice people to spend time with. They provide wetsuits and reef shoes which I find helpful for the rocky bottom and very sunny weather. The videos taken of you surfing were also very useful to give you insight for how you did. Klui / Senggigi in April were quite flat but with some decent, mellow waves on a good day, perfect for real beginners. I think for beginners-intermediates you need to check with them when is a good time for bigger waves. Price is higher than your average beach surf shops in Indo but you’ll get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a surf school in Lombok to try out surfing or up your beginner/intermediate skill, this is the one.

This is my second time returning to this place. The last time I visited was a year ago, and my surfing skills were quite rusty. Fortunately, the instructors were very patient and helpful in correcting my mistakes, and I was back riding the waves in no time. They also take pictures and videos of you surfing that you get to keep. I will definitely return again and would highly recommend Nayaka to anyone who wants to learn how to surf, or an intermediate surfer who wants to take their surfing skills to the next level!

Das Surfcamp hat richtig viel Spaß gemacht und war auch lehrreich. Die Surflehrer waren alle nett und das Equipment relativ neu. Die Unterkunft war gut, lediglich das Frühstück war nicht ganz so toll. Der Service war aber sehr zuvorkommend. Nur etwas Obst wäre noch toll gewesen.
